Many generations of young musicians have played on this antique 3/4 violin from the Markneukirchen-Klingenthal region in Saxony that was built approx. 1860, and their traces bear eloquent witness of the good qualities this rare instrument features. The antique and friendly character of the violin is determined by nice tonewoods, medium grained spruce and finely flamed maple, covered by light, golden varnish, and by the elegant, small and precisely cut soundholes. Strong patina especially on the top is clearly indicating the high age of the instrument, that is in undamaged condition and immediately ready to play. After a complete restoration by our luthier it unfolds its light and shining sound, that is quite rich in overtones.
