This beautiful antique 3/4 violin was made in the late 19th century in the Markneukirchen/ Klingenthal region of Germany . Generations of young players have left traces on the varnish of this antique 3/4 violin, that is aside from two very small repairs that are hardly worth mentioning and have absolutely no impact on the sound or playing qualities of the 3/4 violin preserved in remarkable condition. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of deeply flamed maple. The luminous red-brown varnish is well worn and patinated showing numerous signs of playing. Our luthiers have carefully worked this 19th century 3/4 violin over which is offered ready to play. Her warm sound is full of character, resonant, aged, and somewhat mellow.
