This old German 3/4 violin is a tonally very attractive instrument - a product of German quality manufactured craftsmanship dating back to approximately 1930. The unknown violin maker chose premium tone woods: wide to moderately-grained spruce top and deeply flamed maple for the two piece back, varnished in a dark red-golden-brown. The coat is thin and finely applied, as is typical in Saxonian violin making of the 20th century. This is a technically perfectly maintained, undamaged 3/4 violin without any cracks, and it has many traces of use and playing that are common for a children's instrument of its age. Like all instruments from us, this violin has been carefully worked over and set up by our luthier and is ready to play and fully articulate its bright, clear sound full of character.
