This small 3/4 violin, built after Guarneri, is a very fine instrument from Mirecourt with an excellently crafted flat arching, softly rising towards the middle of the top and of the bottom. Only very few small sized instruments are of comparable elegance as this violin, with its delicate, narrow scroll and the beautifully shining varnish of golden orange color. The violin was built around 1930 and is in flawless condition; almost no traces of use bear witness of the instrument´s age, which has developed a strong, warm sound full of character, possessing the special note that is exclusive to old instruments.
