This precious little violin origins from the manufactory of the ambitioned and exceedingly successful Julius Heinrich Zimmermann. After establishing several stores in cosmopolitan cities such as London, Moscow, Leipzig and St. Petersburg he moved his business to the Saxonian town Markneukirchen. Zimmermann employed only the best and experienced luthiers and bowmakers what can easily be proved by the high quality standards of Zimmermann's products. This 3/4 violin is in mint condition, the regularly grown and deeply flamed tonewoods of the resonance box are spotless. The shiny warm-toned reddish brown varnish is smooth and scrapeless. The original Zimmermann label inside the instrument bears the number 117. An exceptionally beautiful antique instruement with a sound full of character: clear, precise, even and strong.
