This fine 1940's instrument is a true 3/4 master violin, that was built on a Guarnerius model in Markneukirchen, is a piece of rare quality in excellent preserved condition. There can be no doubt about the provenance of the instrument, that is unlabelled and revealed as a work in best Markneukirchen craftsman tradition, not only by the distinctive, highly attractive scroll and rich orange varnish. The regular, medium grained spruce of the top is a precious tonewood and typical for this region. The maple that was used for the two-piece back is of premium quality, too, and features a flaming that is both fascinatingly mild and deep. The flatly arched model was built in best craftsmanship throughout and covered with a transparent yet luminous varnish that is with slight patination in excellent condition. This 3/4 master violin is in best condition and was carefully worked over by our specialists for restoration and made ready to play. This most rare 3/4 master violin features a bright and radiant, clear sound, well-balanced and matured, with great potential for demanding young talents.
