Antique French 1/4 violin, a rare instrument in size and quality, made around 1900 in the famous violin making town of Mirecourt. It is one of the sought-after 1/4 violins of high quality of which nevertheless only few violins of comparable quality are preserved, especially in this size. In technically exceptionally good condition, this crackfree antique 1/4 violin shows its age only through retouch and playing marks and gains its noble, antique appearance through the charming patina that the orange-brown luminous varnish has developed. Expressive are the scroll full of character, the small soundholes and the beautifully deeply flamed maple back and sides. Thoroughly checked by our luthier, we offer this special 1/4 violin at a very reasonable price in immediate playing condition and recommend its characterful, bright sound, which contains a pleasantly mellow note.
