The small town of Mirecourt, located in picturesque Lorraine, has been a center for violin making since the 17th century. Today, the "Ecole Nationale de Lutherie", France's national violin making school, is located there, and the instruments made by Mirecourt violin makers are characterized by high quality and the finest craftsmanship. This elegant 3/4 violin is an instrument of rare quality, built at the end of the 19th century following Antonio Stradivari's model. The beautifully preserved instrument is in excellent condition, some deep scractehs on top are the only flaws. Refined details, such as the particularly finely crafted scroll, underline the high-quality overall impression of this antique 3/4 violin in rare quality. This is only surpassed by the tonal qualities of the violin: Powerful, warm and well-defined, a small-sized violin that meets the highest demands of young talents. It has been carefully restored in our workshop and is ready to play. A small repair to the left F-hole and several deep scratches were included in the price. Like all 3/4 violins from us this includes our trade-guarantee and an optional certificate of appraisal.
