This particularly beautiful French 3/4 violin was made in the ateliers of Jerôme Thibouville-Lamy in Mirecourt in approximately 1900. The 3/4 violin's one-piece top is crafted of moderately to wide grained spruce, while the one-piece back of maple features mild and soft flaming – good tone woods covered by a warm, bright varnish in a golden orange brown. With many traces from young musicians but no cracks or repairs this 3/4 violin its perfectly maintained condition, it can be played immediately and was fitted with a new bridge, sound post, tailpiece and Pirastro strings. Its sound expresses full and dark facets that are powerful, with a somewhat gentle and sweet note to them. We can warmly recommend this superior quality 3/4 violin.
