Rare 3/4 master violin by Otto Seifert (1866 - 1935), Berlin

The powerful violin model of Antonio Stradivari is one of the great historical achievements of violin making, and it is often used for smaller sized violins compared to Amati or Guarneri patterns. For good reason, this gorgeous Stradivari styled 3/4 master violin by Otto Seifert made in 1909 is a rare and excellent example of the quality of German 3/4 instruments. The fine and purfling is quite typical for Markneukirchen regional violin making traditions; the delicatly carved scroll and the deeply flamed two-piece back indicate its good quality, as well as the rich and luminous orange-brown oil varnish varnish, that bears some traces of use from former young musicians who obviously liked to play the violin. In perfect condition, worked-over by our luthiers, this rare 3/4 master violin unfolds its beautiful sound with good strength.
