Good German viola bow, a high-quality piece from Markneukirchen around 1980
This powerful German viola bow is a quality piece of mature craftmanship that was made in Markneukirchen in the late 20th century, around 1980. The viola bow features a brandstamp and a convenient weight of around 66, with its balance-point centered, slightly shifted towards the lower half of the stick. The strong octagonal stick was made of good quality pernambuco wood; it features a noteworthy distribution of diameter that allows powerful play and a precise tone. The nickel mounted ebony frog is decorated with a white mother-of-pearle eye, a classical and tasteful setup. This good quality handmade German viola bow is in perfect condition. We recommend it to players using strong bow pressure and offer it ready to play after a rehair and general work-over by our luthiers. Like all our instruments and bows, this includes our trade-in guarantee and an optional certificate of appraisal.
