A very good German viola from the traditional workshop, recommended by our violist
Ernst Heinrich Roth (1877–1948) was one of the most important German violin makers. His family left their Markneukirchen home in 1953 and successfully reestablished themselves in Bubenreuth, Franconia. The viola offered here is a high-quality instrument from that period: no. 1306 has a body length of 41.9 cm, a string length of 38.8 cm and a slim, violin-like neck that makes it easy to play – and at the same time impresses with its exceptionally good, voluminous sound.
