This German master viola No. 19 is a younger instrument that was made in 1989 by master maker Klaus Schlegel in Erlbach / Markneukirchen. The precisely cut ff-holes and the deep flaming of the two-piece maple back determine the appearance of this quality handmade instrument, that is completed by the warm note of the orange-brown colored spirit-oil varnish. The Klaus Schlegel viola is preserved in very good crackfree condition, with minor varnish flaws that indicate intensive use by its former owners. Our experienced luthiers completely worked over the instrument which is like all Corilon instruments offered ready to play. Its sound is convincingly warm, resonant, bright, well-balanced and clear, with a crisp response.
