Fine 3/4 violin bow in master quality, lightweight, made around 1890. Made in solid German craftsmanship, this antique 3/4 violin bow was made at the end of the 19th century in Markneukirchen. It probably originates from the Knopf workshop, whose bows are famous for their excellent playing characteristics. Thus, special attention was paid to playability in the making of this fine 3/4 violin bow, as evidenced by its balance and agile handling. The perceived center of gravity is in the middle. Visually, this violin bow features a riot brown pernambuco wood finish, a distinctive nickel silver mounted frog with mother of pearl eye, and a bound mother of pearl slide. This active 3/4 violin bow with very active stick is suitable for as virtuoso playing and produces a bright, ringing sound.
