This fine quality two-star German master violin bow by Lothar Seifert was handcrafted in Bubenreuth in the 1980ies and it has highly convincing musical properties. With its almost perfectly balanced weight the bow features excellent, nuanced and comfortable playing opportunities and produces a large, radiant tone with some mellow notes to it. The balance point feels quite centered, minimally shifted towards the lowerhalf, measured at 26.8 cm of the bow´s total length of 74.6 cm; its total weight is 58.9 g. The strong, active and tense round stick, which is originally stamped Lothar Seifert above the frog, has a finely made silver mounted ebony frog decorated with a Parisian eye, while the slide is shimmering white, rosé and green. A very suitable strong bow featuring a clear, radiant, powerful sound, offered in perfect condition and ready to play. This bow adds clarity and overtones and completements well mellow and perhaps somewhat dull sounding violins.
