This German violin bow with a blank ebony frog was built approx. 1980 by Rudolf Neudörfer in Bubenreuth, Bavaria. This violin bow is a well-balanced piece in good quality that was made of red-brown pernambuco wood. The strong round stick features good playing properties, it combines stiffness and elasticity and plays strong and active; its balance-point is sensed well-centered slightly inclined to the upper half of the stick and is measured at 26.2 cm of the total length of 74.6 cm including the adjuster. With new hair this good violin bow is ready to play, as a reliable partner for daily practising that forgives many faults and pleases the young player with its warm, previse, large sound.
