This fine German violin bow was master-made approx. 1920 in Markneukirchen, where it was crafted as a successful example of exceptionally good artisanry, with finest aesthetical and musical qualities. The round stick is made of first choice pernambuco wood and is of medium to soft strength, allowing fluid and forgiving play and producing a soft bright sound. The sensed balance point is located centrally, slightly inclined towards the lower half of the stick and measured at 24.9 cm. The elegant shape of the finely carved head determines the classical beauty of this German violin bow which is mounted in nickel silver. This fine German violin bow is rightfully decorated with such a beautiful setup; it is undamaged and was, like all instruments and bows from us, made ready to play by our luthiers.
