This beautiful silver-mounted violin bow was crafted approx. 1930 of brown pernambuco wood in the traditional violin and bow making town Markneukirchen, for K. van der Meer in Amsterdam whose brandstamp is bears above the frog. The but powerful-elastic stick with round diameter is of good strength and a fine work with a perfectly distribution of weight and excellent stiffness. The balance-point of the 74.2 cm long bow, including the adjuster, is sensed slightly shifted to the lower half and is measured at 25.5 cm. This fine quality violin bow is preserved in excellent condition and is offered ready to play, with eyecatchingly well designed and finely finished head, stick and frog. Mother-of-pearle eyes, a silver mounting and silver wrapping are an elegant, premium setup for an excellent violin bow that recommends itself with its strong, warm sound, that is precise and noble in character and full of volume.
