Fine Markneukirchen violin bow after Sartory, sweet, sophisticated tone

This fine and very active antique violin bow, a soft, fluid player producing a sweet, bright, delicate tone, was made in Markneukirchen in the 1920ies. It is designed in dependance on the works of Parisian master Eugene Sartory. The quality of the materials and the workmanship, especially the fine work on the head, are noteworthy. The ebony frog (slightly repaired) is sterling silver-mounted and appareled with nacre slide and Parisian eye. The octagonal light brown pernambuco stick is of superb quality, flexible and highly elastic. The overall length is 74.3 cm with the felt balance-point perfectly centered, measured at 26.9 cm including adjuster. The violin bow is in excellent condition and produces a sweet, delicate, colorful tone. Recommended for players with a "pulling" bowing style.
