This excellent, recommendable violin bow was skillfully made in Germany in the 1900s following the style of the great French master Vuillaume, obvious in the neatly worked out head and the Vuillaume-style frog. The round stick is of medium strength, while being active and elastic at play, it is made of fine light brown pernambuco wood and has excellent tension. The sensed balance-point of this 73.5 cm violin bow is well centered, with a slight tendency towards the frog. The measured balance point is at 23.4 cm from the frog end. The frog is made of black ebony wood with German silver mounts. All parts of this antique violin bow are in perfect condition. Some scratches and flaws make it possible to offer this magnificient bow at the price. This very versatile bow produces clear, bright, strong sounds.
