A fine ilver mounted violin bow by Alfred Schadlich (1873-1947), Markneukirchen. The bow is a fine quality piece of work made as a fine copy of Francois Tourte. The bow bears the original stamp by Alfred Schadlich on shaft above the frog. The round stick is made of fine redbrown pernambuco wood. The stick is of medium strength and beautiful elasticity. The ebony frog is sterling silver mounted with white pearl eye, a white-green shimmering pearl slide and a silver adjuster. The weight is 64,0 g, the length 73,4 cm. This bow fees significantly lighter in the hand than its real weight would suggest. An excellent bow producing a huge bright open tone. Special recommendation!
