An inspiring place in Cremona
Our luthiers work in a place deeply rooted in the city's history: the massive brick walls of the studio in Piazza San Michele No. 7 enclose the space that was once the chapel of the Hospital of St. John, founded in 1151 - directly opposite the Basilica of San Michele, built on the site of an ancient Lombard church, which was Cremona's cathedral in the 12th century. From here it is less than a five-minute walk to the place where no less than Claudio Monteverdi was born in 1567.
