It is a notably lightweight instrument of unique character and beauty: soft flutings, a medium arch and a personal, elegant model characterise this fine piece of Mittenwald craftmanship. The top is made of medium grained spruce, the two piece back of deeply flamed maple. With some acceptable restoration reflecting its age of over 200 years, this fine Mittenwald violin is offered in good condition. Our luthiers have meticulously set up and worked over the violin which is offered in beautiful and full playing condition. Her mature, ancient sound is warm, mature and focussed with some sweet notes to it.
