This Mittenwald violin with a very mature sound, radiant, clear, and of great resonance, was built in 1961 by Benedikt Lang, who was born in Schönbach, Bohemia, in 1893 and died in Mittenwald in 1975. Inside it is Benedikt Lang's original labe. This violin is a work of very good craftsmanship, undamaged and in perfectly preserved original condition. Its top is made of fine to medium grained spruce, the one-piece back of deeply flamed sycamore maple; the luminous dark reddish-orange varnish shows only slight signs of play. With a very easy response, this fine qualkity Benedikt Lang violin unfolds a clear tone whcih is radiant and powerful.
