This beautifully red-brown varnished French Stentor violin was manufactured at the end of the 19th century in the workshops of the renowned Jerôme Thibouville-Lamy in France. The violin is the "Stentor" Premium model after Nicolas Vuillaume. The general appearance of the violin is robust and masculine. The violin scroll is carved in a typical manner for late 19th century Stentor instruments. The varnish shows beautiful signs of age and slight patination. This excellent sounding antique French violin shows some signs from playing only, the body has no cracks and was professionally set up and tonally adjusted by our experienced luthier and is ready to play. Its warm, mature sound is large and rich in volume; open and singing in the upper registers. Includes Corilon's trade-guarantee.
