This shiny red French violin is a beautiful instrument of Mirecourt having an especially good quality sound at the price: warm, dark and sweet is a combination of tonal features that we come across quite seldomly. The violin was made in Mirecourt in the early 20th century, it bears an "A. Salvator Paris" model label used by J.T.L.. This beautifully sounding French violin is preserved in undamaged condition. The varnish is of a luminous red color, many traces from playing introduce an antique violin that has been well played and with a rich musical biography. Mildly flamed maple was used for the one piece back, the scroll is blackened in a typical French manner. This J.T.L. violin is undamaged and offered in perfect condition. It has been gone over and set up by our professional luthiers and produces a wonderfully dark, warm sound with somewhat sweet and somewhat mellow notes.
