Premium 3/4 violin, Lager Eugen Gärtner Stuttgart

The well-known luthier and purveyor to the court, Dr. h. c. Eugen Gärtner (1864-1944) of Stuttgart, did not only build stringed instruments himself, he also kept an inventory of selected old and new string instruments. From that inventory comes this antique Mittenwald 3/4 violin labeled with a corresponding Eugen Gärtner label. The luminous orange-brown colored varnish is thinly applied and highly patinated with traces from playing, as it is typical for old Mittenwald violins. The prominent scroll and the neatly cut soundholes attest profound skills of the maker. This Lager Eugen Gärtner 3/4 violin is offered with minor table repairs in perfect condition and ready to play. It has the typical Mittenwald sound: warm, bright, strong and of quality. Please take note of our 30 days return policy and Corilon's general trade-in option (when it comes to the fullsize).
