A rare antique Markneukirchen violin by the renowned house of Edmund Paulus. The violin was made in 1903 in Markneukirchen and bears the original dated label. The violin table is made of medium grained spruce, the one piece back is made of beautifully flamed maple, cut from the slab. The ribs are similar flamed. The strikingly beautiful, shining varnish is of an intense dark orange-brown over a yellow ground. This good antique violin is preserved undamaged and has been meticulously set up by our luthiers. The strong well-balanced sound is clear and radiant, strong and ringing - this violin projects very nicely.
