This German violin from Hessia is a fine quality modern instrument with a strong, resonant sound, that was built by Anton Sandner in 1975. It bears the original label and brandstamp. Anton Sandner, author of the book "The sould of a violin" and referred to as "expert maker" to the literature, has his roots in Aussig, where he established 1922. This master violin after Guarneri, a wide model with medium archings features a highly individual style. Premium quality tonewoods were chosen by the master, medium grained spruce for the top and mildly flamed maple for the two-piece back. The opaque golden-yellow oil varnish that was applied over a golden ground is exceptionally beautiful. Beautiful soundholes and a large, elegant scroll complete the appearance of this recommendable violin, that is offered in perfectly preserved condition. It was thoroughly worked over by our experienced luthier, who made it ready to play. Its resonant sound is rich in overtones and unfolds ringing and light, with good volume. Offered with the original maker's certificate.
