Premium tone woods were used for this stunningly beautiful violin by Italian luthier Archimede Orlandini, who was born in 1909. Its bright, radiant sound satisfies the high expectations soloists have of instruments from the cradle of liuteria. Crafted in Parma in 1985, this Italian violin is a mature work in Orlandini's oeuvre; he confidently selected a top of fine to moderately grained spruce with a subtly accentuated irregularity on the upper part of the treble side a typically Italian stylistic flourish which finds a counterpart in the unusual beauty of the flamed one-piece maple back. The luminous orange-coloured spirit oil varnish boldly emphasizes the attractive aesthetic, inviting the attention the violin deserves. The elegant and deep carving of the scroll serves as further confirmation of Archimede Orlandini's art as manifested in this instrument, which is discussed in detail in Artemio Versari's book "Liuteria Moderna in Emilia-Romagna" (button certificate). Multiple brand marks and an original label on the inside of the body verify the provenance of this robust contemporary violin, a piece patterned after Archimede Orlandini's own dynamic model. It has been kept in top condition and has very few traces of use. After having been thoroughly set up by the experts at our atelier in Munich, the powerful soloist violin is now ready to play, and we recommend it due to its radiant voice which is rich in power and of extreme loudness - the sound sample recording hat to be taken at higher microphone distance to avoid overdrive. Suitable for male players.
