Old Italian violin from Cremona with a rich, golen soloist sound full of power and melting warmth. Carefully selected tonewoods used by the Cremonese violin maker Aristide Cavalli, head of the "Officina Claudio Monteverde" in Cremona, help to create the huge and bright sound of this old Italian violin built in 1920. The top is made of regular medium grained spruce, the one-piece back of deeply flamed maple, with a richly applied soft oil varnish, shimmering in a transparent, dark bordeaux-red color. The purfling is quite characteristic for Cremonese violins and the highly accentuated edges contribute to the individual character of this old Italian violin, in combination with the distinctive shape of the soundholes and carving of the scroll. This fine Aristide Cavalli violin is suitable for professional use, with excellent clear volume and liquid sound, textured and colorful. As is the case with all of our instruments, this fine Italian violin was also completely set up by our expert for restoration and is offered with a solid table repair in fine condition, ready to play.
