This elegant Italian violin is a beautiful and successfully crafted work by Luigi Vistoli, who built it in Lugo in 1943. It clearly follows the principles of the classical violin making tradition of Cremona and is a most beautiful character. The attractive body and scroll was carved with aesthetic sense and in flawless craftsmanship, just as the beautiful purfling. Red-brown colored varnish with beautiful patina and clear signs from playing completes the appearance of this fine Italian violin and underlines its individual character. We offer this instrument that had a resin pocket in the soundpost position meticulously restored with a soundpost patch, now in ready to play condition, thoroughly worked over in our workshop, and recommend its warm and mature Italian sound, that is clear, precise, fluid and features good resonance. The price includes a certificate of authenticity by Stuttgart expert Hieronymus Köstler.
