This French violin is preserved in like-new condition, it was made in the Marc Laberte Ateliers, Mirecourt. It is labeled with the original Marc Laberte atelier label and bears the number 727. A second label states: Grand Prix 1931. This beautiful instrument is a typical Marc laberte Atelier instrument of unique sound and appearance: the wood on top is regular medium grained spruce, the one-piece back is highly attractive and deeply flamed maple cut from the slab. The highly arche model features beautifully made flutings. The rvarnish is of an intense golden-brown color over a yellow ground. This Marc Laberte violin is in perfect and completely undamaged condition and like all old stringed instruments from Corilon violins, worked over by our violin makers and offered ready to play. The sound dark and clear with a typical French note to it, the violin projects easily and is convenient to play.
