From the traditional Carl Gottlob Schuster company comes this old violin, which was built in 1931 and has the original label of the renowned Markneukirchen maker of stringed instruments. Following Stradivari patterns, the instrument has the beautifully rounded corners, which are typical for the Markneukirchen tradition of violin making. Its deep red varnish over a light ground is responsible for the interesting antique appearance of the violin. A minor repair to the top under the tailpiece was carefully executed and has no impact on the playing qualities of the very well preserved instrument. The violin was completely and thorougly worked over by our luthier, including a new rosewood setup; pegs, bridge and soundpost have been replaced. With the new Pirastro strings the sound unfolds perfectly, suitable even for advanced players: strong and bright, clear, resonant and open.
