This mellow sounding violin is a lovely old French violin made in Mirecourt. It was handmade around 1900, perhaps a few years later. The violin bears an Antonius Stradivarius label indicating the model. The tonewoods are especially beautiful and the sunny orange brown color of varnish, too, is especially attractive. The scroll and the corners are blackened in a typical French manner. The violin is undamaged and crackfree and in perfect playing condition. It has been checked, restored and set up by our luthier with new bridge, soundpost and strings. The mellow sounding violins warm lovely sound is bright and warm with a mellow character.
