This old 3/4 Mittenwald violin with an outstanding sound was crafted in 1968 by Erich Sandner in Mittenwald, the successor of the well-known master Johann Reiter that continued to use Johann Reiters label. This provenance is not only indicated by the original label, but also by typical texture of the transparent, orange-brown colored varnish, that covers the Stradivari styled small-sized violin that was made in affordable quality. Both the well crafted purfling and the good quality of the selected tonewoods, that is demonstrated impressively by the flamed sycamore maple of the two-piece back, can be seen as characteristic attributes of Erich SandnerĀ“s workshop. This 3/4 Mittenwald violin is offered in excellently preserved condition and was carefully worked over by our experienced luthiers; ready to play it unfolds its strong and clear sound, that is rich in overtones and bright in character. Like all violins from us, this includes our trade-guarantee which is especially interesting to our customers of small-sized instruments.
