This violin labeled Mathias Neuner with an outstanding rich and resonant sound is a good handmade Mittenwald violin - a good example of quality handcraftsmanship with a strong, balanced sound, warm and resonant and rich in overtones. It is preserved undamaged and crackfree with clear signs of age and from extensive playing. The top of the instrument was made from medium grained spruce, the two-piece back is from mildly flamed maple.
