This 1940's German Violin with a recommendably powerful sound in the price range is a handmade instrument from Markneukirchen ins Saxony, made in the 1940ies. This beautiful German violin responds instantly and is easy to play, perfectly preserved and in excellent condition. The model is after Antonius Stradivarius. The top is made of well selected medium grained spruce, the two piece back of mildly flamed maple. The accurately inlaid purfling is especially well made and beautiful, as well as the glossy, transparent orange-brown spirit varnish. This 1940's handmade German violin has been meticulously worked over and set up in our atelier and is offered ready to play. The outstanding sound we achieved is clear and dark, yet warm and well balanced, of very good strength and resonant clarity.
