This outstanding violin in the price range was made around 1900 by an experienced violin maker who adhered to the excellent craftsman traditions of Markneukirchen. The top is of medium-grained spruce and the two-piece back of gently flamed maple – very good and visually appealing tone woods, and their selection and craftsmanship indicate good expertise in the field. The subtle antiqued touches of the luminously radiant orange brown varnish were successfully executed. Its exceptionally good, bright and clear sound combines precision, warmth, brilliance and resonance full of overtones and strength.
