This fine practice violin came to us from a professional musician and dates back to the end of the 19th century in France, probably Mirecourt. Silent violins which hail from that period and are of such perfect quality are extremely rare, and there is good reason to think that this instrument of unknown provenance may well have come from one of the major Mirecourt ateliers of the day. It has been professionally restored and we offer it in outstanding condition, ready to play.
