"Sivori" orchestra violin no 334, from Saxony, 1894

This good violin that is very suitable for orchestral use was named after the famous Italian violinist Camillo Sivori, a student of Paganini, and bears a corresponding original label that is numbered 334 and dated 1894. The violin is an unmistakable, quality work from the Saxon tradition of violin making and features a two-piece back that was crafted of beautifully flamed maple, covered by a well-preserved golden-brown colored varnish. No repairs have been made to the completely undamaged instrument which has a recommendable strong sound, that is warm, clear, rich in volume, mature and with a dark note. After a complete work-over by our expert luthiers this Sivori-violin is - like all stringed instruments from Corilon violins - offered ready to play, with a new rosewood setup.
