This fine Markneukirchen master violin is a remarkable copy of the great Cremonese master Guarneri, a highly recommendable masterpiece that was made by Markneukirchen maker Paul Dörfel in the early 20th century around 1920/1930. It bears the original label by Paul Dörfel. In Markneukirchen, the Guarneri model was not commonly used in these times, and the high quality instrument offered here is definitely superior to most of its siblings, due to its exceptional quality craftsmanship - seen in the details - and its rare, great sound. The purfling extends well into the corners and the elegant soundholes are most accurately cut, all is the clear work of a talented and experienced master, who chose exquisite tonewoods and decorated them with a traditional, tastefully applied luminous orange-brown colored oil varnish over a golden ground. The highly recommendable sound of this antique is clear and strong, with beautiful sweetness and an immediate response, very suitable for soloists and ambitious musicians. Our special recommendation, professinally worked-over by the specialists in our atelier and like all stringed instruments offered by Corilon violins, in perfect condition, ready to play.
