Good sounding antique French violin crafted approx. 1940 in the well-known workshops of Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (J.T.L.) in Mirecourt. It is an old stringed instrument of the Stradivarius model that, with its flaws, features an interesting, nonstandard appearance. This antique JTL violin, which is tonally recommended, has medium high archings. The varnish shows extensive signs of use and patiantion due to its high age; blemishes, which nevertheless documents a good state of preservation with only a small repair to the top right of the sound hole.This unique style of the violin is completed by the antique character of the orange brown colored varnish, that developed interesting patina. The flamed one-piece back is another detail of the violin´s individuality. Our expert luthiers completely worked over this well violin and made it ready to play.
