This beautiful antique violin with a surprisingly good sound and workmanship of antique quality hails from Saxony, it was built approx. 1880 after a personal interpretation of the well-proven model of Stradivari. Tonewoods of flawless quality were used for the well crafted Instrument with medium archings, regular medium grained spruce for the top and deeply flamed maple for the two-piece back. A patinated light-brown spirit-oil varnish with intensive traces from playing covers the premium tonewoods of this antique German violin, that we can offer in perfect condition ready to play. The luthiers in our violin shop meticulously worked over the violin, that is offered in ready to play condition. The bright, mature, ringing sound has some dark, mature notes and is full character.
