French 3/4 cello bow, a typical handade quality piece from Mirecourt, built approx. 1980. The round stick of light brown Massaranduba wood is well-balanced and of good strength, with very well distributed diameter which clearly is the work of an experienced craftsman. The ebony frog is nickel mounted and decorated by a mother-of-pearl eye and a white shimmering mother-of-pearl-slide. The felt balance point of this 3/4 cello bow is centered, slightly shifted towards the upper half of the stick. This French 3/4 cello bow has all the sought-after features of French cello bows: excellent activity in playing, without being too „nervous“, precise response and a clear, distinct sound.
