This antique 3/4 cello was made around 1930 in Germany, following the Markneukirchen violin makingtradition. The beauty of the selected tonewoods is impressively decorated by the varnish with antique touches, of yellow-brown color, that was applied over a golden-yellow ground. The table of the antique 3/4 cello was crafted of wide grained spruce, and both the two-piece maple back and the ribs feature mild flames that are remarkably aesthetic. With an unsightly yet unobjectionable rib repair and only a few playing marks, this antique 3/4 cello is in good condition. Our experienced luthiers looked this antique 3/4 cello over carefully and made it ready to play, with a convincingly strong and responsive sound that features some velvety note.
