“Médio Fino” was a brand made by the famous violin maker Jérôme Thibouville-Lamy (JTL) from Mirecourt; in the late 19th century, very popular violins were sold under this name. The instruments of this series were especially ideal for young players thanks to their more straightforward standard yet very good playability and sound properties. Like other Médio Fino violins, this too is a very attractive 1/2 violin: it has a historic-looking aesthetic and an unassuming, bright and clear sound. It was based on the classic Stradivari model and has a typical dark Bordeaux-red spirit varnish. We offer this violin in very good, undamaged condition; it has been completely worked over in our atelier and is offered ready to play.
