French 3/4 violin from the Laberte workshop
This French student violin in 3/4 size was built in the 1930s in Mirecourt, France. It is one of the popular "Stradivarius" instruments, With its subtly crafted arching and elegant soundholes the violin is especially attractive for its selected quality tonewoods: regular, finely grained spruce was used for the top; mildly flamed maple for the back. The attractive appearance of the violin is completed by the nice red-brown varnish and the accurately crafted purfling. Our luthiers set up the instrument professionally, which is offered ready to play and features a bright, warm sound with a mellow note.
