This fine and beautifully crafted English master violin is a 7/8 sized instrument by E. Willis, that was built 1913 in Reading, according to the hand-written original label. The medium grained spruce of the top and the flamed maple of the two-piece back are excellently chosen tonewoods. They are covered by a soft oil varnish with intensive dark-red-brown color over a golden-yellow ground, that developed fascinating, unique craquele. A carefully made and crack-free preserved 7/8 violin, that is offered in very good condition and ready to play, having been looked over thoroughly by our luthier. Its noble and mature sound is strong and large, rich in volume in the lower ranges, clear and bright in the upper ranges - our special recommendation!
