This 3/4-sized student violin was built approx. 1940 in Germany or Bohemia and is the solid work of an unknown craftsman. His skills are expressed both by the good sound properties of the violin and by the accurate purfling that extends far into the corners. The table of this Stradivari patterned instrument features distinctive flutings and was crafted of medium grained spruce; the two-piece back is made of softly flamed maple. Shining orange-brown colored varnish covers the instrument and bears some traces of use that indicate the long and intensive use by former owners. Aside from this, the violin is undamaged and was worked over completely by our expert luthiers who made it ready to play. Its bright and warm sound is highly recommendable for educational purposes.
